Today was the botanical gardens performance.
On the way to school, I was feeling rather nervous since I knew I was going to play the Xi Shui Chang Liu solo. However I was relieved that I didn't have to play the american graffiti one. Or so I thought...
As my father fetched me to school, I decided to check my phone. Shiying sent me an sms saying Mrs Chua still wanted me to play the solo, but I could play it 4 semitones lower. I started to panic like crazy since I haven't practiced it 4 semitones lower before, and my transposing skills are rather sucky. Like, what if we couldn't transpose in time? I was shaking in the car as I replied Shiying...
When I reached school, I hurried to Shiying and we started to transpose together. However, she's not really accurate HAHA. In the end, I had to figure out parts by myself.
After transposing, I went out to find my section and we exchanged gifts with each other. I LOVE SHERLENE'S GIFT~ Got a hot picture of Kakashi <3 *screams in delight*
Then we made crowns and wore it as the section thing. My crown was special. It was red, and it was huge.
We had combine with Mrs Chua in the band room.
Afterwards we went to Botanic Gardens and had another rehearsal. Super tiring. My mouth was already dead. And I was very scared for the American Graffiti as I had never ever played it properly before.
Soon it was performance time. I managed to play the Xi Shui Chang Liu solo without much problems. When it was time for American Graffiti, my heart was beating so fast. I felt like dying right there and then.
The dreaded time soon came. Luckily, I sorta managed to play the newly improved American Graffiti solo. As in sound came out. Hehe, I think that's an achievement.
On a side note, I lost my Kakashi today like, 3 times? Or more. That's because people kept stealing him from me. Anyway I always found him in the end. It proves that we are meant to be. It is destiny~
Oh and people kept staring/laughing at Trumpet Section at the Botanic Gardens. It must be because of our crowns!
